Connecting to Tivoli Enterprise
Console
The Integration Pack for IBM Tivoli
Enterprise Console provides a single place where you can configure
how the objects will connect to the Tivoli Enterprise Console
server.
To configure the
connection to Tivoli Enterprise Console:

Open the Opalis Integration Server
Client.
|

On the Options menu, click Tivoli Enterprise Console. The
Tivoli Enterprise Console
settings dialog
appears.

To edit or remove a connection,
select the connection in the list and click Edit or Remove.
|
Adding a SQL Server
Connection
Computer
|
Type the name of the Tivoli
Enterprise Console server computer, or click the ellipsis
(…) button and browse for
the it.
|
Port
|
Type the port that will be used
to communicate with the Tivoli Enterprise Console. In a default
configuration of Tivoli Enterprise Console on Windows, this value
would be 5529. In a default configuration of Tivoli Enterprise
Console on Unix, this value would be 0.
|
Server
|
Type the name of the server
where the Tivoli Enterprise Console SQL Server database
resides.
|
Owner
|
Type the name of the user that
is assigned as the Tivoli Enterprise Console database owner.
|
Name
|
Type the name of the Tivoli
Enterprise Console database catalog.
|
Authentication
|
Select the authentication
method to use when communication with the SQL Server:

Windows – Use the account assigned to
the Opalis Integration Server services to communicate with the SQL
Server.
|

|
SQL
Server – Use the user name and password defined below to log
in to the SQL Server.
|
Note: When using Windows
authentication, the Opalis Management Server and Opalis Action
Server must run under a network domain user account and not under a
local user account.

User name
|
Type the name of the user to
use to log in to the SQL Server.
|
Password
|
Type the password that is
associated with the user name you have specified.
|
Adding an Oracle Database
Connection
Computer
|
Type the name of the Tivoli
Enterprise Console server computer, or click the ellipsis
(…) button and browse for
the it.
|
Port
|
Type the port that will be used
to communicate with the Tivoli Enterprise Console. In a default
configuration of Tivoli Enterprise Console on Windows, this value
would be 5529. In a default configuration of Tivoli Enterprise
Console on Unix, this value would be 0.

Service name
|
Type the service name that the
Tivoli Enterprise Console uses.
|
Database owner
|
Type the name of the user that
is assigned as the Tivoli Enterprise Console database owner.
|
User name
|
Type the name of the user to
use to log in to the Oracle database.
|
Password
|
Type the password that is
associated with the user name that you specified.
