The Create Event object enables you
to report an event in Tivoli Enterprise Console.
Use the Create Event object to
provide feedback to Tivoli Enterprise Manager as part of your
maintenance Policies.
To configure the Create Event object
you need to know the details of the event that you want to
create.
Server

(...) and select a Tivoli
Enterprise Console server from the list.

Type the name of the class of
the event.

Hostname
|
Type the name of the host where
the event occurred.

Message
|
Type a description of the
event, or click the ellipsis button (...) and select one.

|
Type the IP address where the
event occurred.

Severity
|
Select the severity of the
event.
|
Source
|
Type the source of the
event.
|
Status
|
Select the status of the
event.
|
Sub-source
|
Type any additional information
about the source of the event.

Type any additional information
about the origin of the event.

Retrieve results from the TEC
server?
|
Check this check box to
retrieve the results of the event from the TEC server, the Opalis
Event ID, and the populated items in the Event Attributes list of items, and
publish them as Published Data items. Examples of event results
from the TEC server include the Adapter Host, the Administrator,
the Credibility, and the Event Date items.
If you uncheck this check box,
the event results and unpopulated items from the Event Attributes list will not be
published as Published Data items. The Opalis Event ID is always
published, whether this check box is checked or not.

identifies a Tivoli Enterprise Console event.
