Update Incident
The Update Incident object enables you to make changes to or close existing incidents.How it is usedUse the Update Incident object to add information to an incident that provides an audit trail of the steps that were taken during a diagnostic Policy.ConfigurationTo configure the Update Incident object you need to know the ID of the incident that you are updating.Details tab
ID Type the ID of the incident that you are updating, or insert a Published Data item from another object.To add or remove fields that will be modified:
1. Click Select Fields. The Select Fields dialog appears.
2. Select the fields that you want to make configurable in the Available fields list and click >> to add them to the Selected fields list.
3. To remove fields that have already been added, select them in the Selected fields list and click <<.Available Published DataThe common fields that are used as part of an HP OpenView Operations Service Desk incident are available as Published Data. The names of the Published Data items for each field reflect the names of each of the fields in the HP OpenView Operations Service Desk client.
Name Description Login server The name of the HP OpenView Operations Service Desk server computer. Login port The port number used to communicate with the HP OpenView Operations Service Desk server. Login username The name of the user used to login to the HP OpenView Operations Service Desk server. Incident Actual finish The time that the incident was finished. Incident Closure code The closure code assigned to the incident. Incident Description The description of the incident. Incident ID The ID of the incident. Incident Impact The impact of the incident. Incident Status The status of the incident.
