
Monitor Service Call
The Monitor Service Call object
monitors HP OpenView Operations Service Desk for new or updated
service calls according to filter criteria that you specify.
How it is used
Use the Monitor Service Call object
to trigger a Policy that automatically provisions a new computer
when it is requested from a service call.
Configuration
To configure the Monitor Service
Call object you need to know the details of the service calls that
will trigger the Policy.

New Service Calls – trigger the Monitor
Service Call object when new service calls that match the filters
that you specify are created.

Updated Service Calls – trigger the
Monitor Service Call object when any existing service calls that
match the filters that you specify are modified.

Filters
|
The list shows all the HP
OpenView Operations Service Desk service call filters that you have
configured. To edit or remove a filter, select the item and click
Edit or Remove respectively. To add a filter,
see the instructions below.

To add a filter:

Click Add. The Edit Filter dialog appears.

In the Field field, type the name of the field
that you want to filter against, or click the ellipsis
(…) button to browse for
it.

From the Relation drop-down list, select the
relation that you will use to compare the value of the field to the
value that you will specify in the next step.
|

In the Value field, type the value that you
will compare to the value that you typed in the Field field and click OK. The filter is added to the list. Do
not use quotation marks (") when entering the value.

Note: When you specify a filter that
uses the "Equals" relation, you cannot use any other filters for
that field, nor add a filter using the "Equals" relation if you
have already specified filters for that field.
Available Published Data
The common fields that are used as
part of an HP OpenView Operations Service Desk service call are
available as Published Data. The names of the Published Data items
for each field reflect the names of each of the fields in the HP
OpenView Operations Service Desk client.

the service call.

|
The status of the service
call.
