
Monitor Change
The Monitor Change object monitors
HP OpenView Operations Service Desk for new or updated change items
according to criteria that you specify.
How it is used
Use the Monitor Change object to
trigger a Policy that automatically notifies a technician when a
change item has been modified.
Configuration
To configure the Monitor Change
object you need to know the details of the change items that
trigger the Policy.

Select New Changes to trigger the Monitor
Change object when new changes that match your criteria are
created.

Select Updated Changes to trigger the Monitor
Change object when existing change items that match your criteria
are modified.

Filters
|
The list displays all HP OpenView Operations Service Desk
incident filters that you have configured. To edit or remove
a
filter, select the item and click Edit or Remove respectively. To add a filter,
see the instructions below.

To add a filter:
1.

Click Add. The Add Filter dialog appears.
|

In the Field field, type the name of the field
that you want to search in, or click the ellipsis button
(...) and browse for
it.

From the Relation drop-down list, select the
relation that you will use to compare for your search.
|

In the Value field, type the value that you
will search for in the item that you selected. Do not use quotation
marks when specifying the value.

|
Click OK. The filter appears in the
list.
|

To edit the filter, select it
and click Edit. To remove
the filter, select it and click Remove.
|
Note: When you specify a filter that
uses the "Equals" relation, you cannot use any other filters for
that field, nor add a filter with the "Equals" relation if you have
already specified filters for that field.
Available Published Data
Common fields that are used as part
of an HP OpenView Operations Service Desk change item are available
as Published Data. The names of the Published Data items for each
field reflect the names of the fields in the HP OpenView Operations
Service Desk client.
