Create Service Call
The Create Service Call object creates a new service call in HP OpenView Operations Service Desk.
How it is used
Use the Create Service Call object to automatically create a new service call when a new event is detected by your monitoring system.
Configuration
To configure the Create Service Call object you need to know the details of the service call that you are creating.
Details tab
These fields are populated dynamically from HP OpenView Operations Service Desk and are required to create the service call. You must complete all fields that appear on this tab.
Advanced tab
Add optional fields to the service call from this tab. When you specify values for these fields, you must consider the dependencies between fields so that you can enter values where they are appropriate.
To add or remove fields:
1.
Click Select Fields. The Select Fields dialog appears.

From the Available fields list, select the fields that you want to add and click >>. The field appears in the Selected fields list. To remove a field from the Selected fields list, click <<. The field appears in the Available fields list.

Click OK.
Available Published Data
The common fields that are used as part of an HP OpenView Operations Service Desk service call are available as Published Data. The names of the Published Data items for each field reflect the names of each of the fields in the HP OpenView Operations Service Desk client.
 
Name
Description
Login server
The name of the HP OpenView Operations Service Desk computer.
Login port
The port number used to communicate with the HP OpenView Operations Service Desk server.
Login username
The name of the user used to log in to the HP OpenView Operations Service Desk server.
Service call Actual finish
The time that the service call finished.
Service call Closure code
The closure code assigned to the service call.
Service call Description
The description of the service call.
Service call ID
The ID of the service call.
Service call Status
The status of the service call.
