Get Request
The Get Request object is used to retrieve a group of requests according to criteria that you specify.
How it is used
Use the Get Request object to retrieve a group of requests to make modifications to all the requests in the group.
Configuration
To configure the Get Request object, you will need to know the name of the BMC Remedy AR System connection and form name that you want to use, and the criteria that you want to use to find the requests that you are filtering for.

Connection
Type the name of the connection that you want to use, or click the ellipsis button (...) and browse for it. Select the connection from the Item Selection dialog.
Form
Type the name of the BMC Remedy AR System form that you want to use to retrieve requests, or click the ellipsis button (...) and browse for it. Select the form name from the Form Selection dialog.
Filters
Configure the criteria for requests that you want the Get Request object to retrieve. See below for instructions on configuring the filter criteria. You must use at least one filter.
Note: Opalis Software, Inc. recommends that you use restrictive filter conditions to avoid retrieving large amounts of data.
Select Published Data
To select the fields that will be published by this object as Published Data items, click the Select Published Data button. Select the fields that you want to use from the Available fields list, and click >> to move them to the Selected fields list.
To add a filter:
1.
Click Add. The Select Filter dialog appears.

From the Field drop-down list, select the form field that you want to search in.
3.
From the Relation drop-down list, select the relation that you will use to compare for your search.
4.
In the Value field, type the value that you will search for in the field that you selected, or click the ellipsis button (...) and browse for it.
5.
Click OK. The filter appears in the list.

To edit the filter, select it and click Edit. To remove the filter, select it and click Remove.
Note: If you configure a filter to search in a Diary field in BMC Remedy AR System, the filter not only searches the contents of the Diary field, it also searches the name of the submitter.
Available Published Data
Click Select Published Data and select the BMC Remedy AR System fields that will be published as additional Published Data items by this object. This prevents overloading of the Opalis Datastore. See the Select Published Data entry in the Details table above for instructions. The following table lists the Published Data items that this object generates by default.
 
Name
Description
AR System Form
The name of the BMC Remedy AR System form that you are using.
AR System Server
The name of the BMC Remedy AR System server that you are using.
AR System Username
The BMC Remedy AR System user name that you used to connect to the BMC Remedy AR System server.
Request Count
The number of requests that you are retrieving.
Unique ID
The unique ID of the request.
