Suspend Application Instance
The Suspend Application Instance
object will suppress all events from a PATROL application instance.
You can specify the length of time before the application instance
will resume or you can use the Resume Application Instance object
to receive events from that application instance.
Note: The Suspend Application Instance
object suspends application instance parameters, not the
application instances. If you want to manually resume an
application instance you have suspended using the object, you will
need to use the context menu of the parameter list not the
application instance.
How it is used
The Suspend Application Instance
object can be used to suspend an application instance when you are
performing maintenance on the managed system where the application
instance is stored.
Configuration
To configure the Suspend Application
Instance object you need to know the name of the managed system
that stores the application instance that you want to suspend, the
duration of the suspension, and the class and instance of the
application that you want to suspend.
