Get Event
The Get Event object will retrieve a list of PATROL events from the agent that match a filter that you specify.
How it is used
The Get Event object can be used to get a list of PATROL events that you can monitor using the Monitor Event object.
Configuration
To configure the Get Event object you need to know the name of the managed system where the events are located, the maximum number of events that you want in the list, and the filter criteria for including events in the list.
Details tab

Managed system
Type the name of the managed system where the events are located. You can use the ellipsis () to browse for the managed system.
Return up to
Type the maximum number of events to return that match the filter. The newest events will be retrieved first. Unselecting this option or setting it to a large number may affect the performance of your PATROL system.

The list displays all filters that you have created to search for events on the managed system. To remove or edit a filter, select it and click Remove or Edit respectively. To add a filter, see the instructions below.
To add a filter:
1.
Click Add. The Add Filter dialog appears.
2.
From the Field drop-down list, select the field that you want to filter against.
3.
From the Relation drop-down list, select the relation that you want to use to compare the value of the field with the value that you enter.
4.
In the Value field, specify the value that will be compared against the value of the field.
