Licenses
Licenses provide information to the
Management Server about the number of users, Action Servers, and
satellites that you are permitted to run.
A satellite license is a license to
run Policies that interact with remote machines. The objects that
require a satellite license to run usually include a Computer field. Computer fields enable you to add both
local and remote computer names. For a complete list of objects
that require satellite licenses, see below.
Satellite licenses are assigned as
soon as a Policy that requires them is triggered. Opalis
Integration Server assigns satellite licenses to Policies until
there are no more left to assign. To remove satellite licenses and
make them available to other Policies, see the instructions
below.
Additional satellite licenses are
available for purchase.

requested by Policies. If you frequently run out of satellite
licenses, you may need to purchase more.
