Connect/Disconnect Dial-up
The Connect/Disconnect Dial-up object
will connect or disconnect to a dial-up or VPN network. The
Connect/Disconnect Dial-up object only supports dial-up and VPN
networks that are configured using the Windows Control Panel.
How it is used
The Connect/Disconnect Dial-up object
can be used to connect to a VPN network that you need before
interacting with a computer on that network. When all the
operations are completed you can use the Connect/Disconnect Dial-up
object to disconnect from network.
Configuration
To configure the Connect/Disconnect
Dial-up object you will need to know the dial-up connection that
you want to connect to or disconnect from.
Connection Tab
Dial-up or VPN entry

Type the name of the Dial-up or
VPN entry that you want to use to connect to the network. You can
use the ellipsis (...) button to browse
the available connections.

Connect
|
Select to cause the
Connect/Disconnect Dial-up object to connect to the network.

Disconnect
|
Select to cause the
Connect/Disconnect Dial-up object to disconnect from the
network.

Attempts
|
Type the number of
connection/disconnection attempts that you want to the
Connect/Disconnect Dial-up object to make before it will
fail.
|
Delay
|
Type the number of seconds
between each attempt to connect or disconnect.
|
Authentication Tab
Domain
|
Type the domain that you are
connecting to.
|
Username
|
Type the username that will be
used to authenticate on the Domain you
have specified.
|
Password
|
Type the password that is
associated with the Username.
|

|
The name of the dial-up or VPN
entry used for this connection.

Domain name credential
|
The domain that was used during
authentication.

User name credential
|
The user that was used during
authentication.

Number of retries
attempted
|
The number of times that the
Connect/Disconnect Dial-up object attempted to connect to the
network.
