Installation considerations

Microsoft Provisioning Framework

Microsoft Provisioning Framework (MPF) components can be installed on a single computer or distributed across multiple computers on a single domain. All MPF components, except for the client components and administration tools, require Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 2 or later. Administration tools and client components can be installed on computers running Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 2 or later.

MPF installation notes for non-default instance of SQL Server

If you have a non-default instance of SQL Server 2000 installed, this might affect the installation of Microsoft Provisioning System. See the installation guides (install_single.htm or install_multi.htm) for more information.
