Each component of Microsoft Provisioning System must be
installed only on an NTFS partition.
Microsoft Provisioning System only supports Windows 2000
computers. If using Active Directory, do not add members to the
Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access group in the Builtin folder
of Active Directory Users and Computers.
Minimum required software
Microsoft Windows 2000 Server family with Service Pack 2
and critical updates.
SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 1 (or later) or Microsoft
Data Engine 2000 with Service Pack 1.
Microsoft Data Access Component (MDAC) Driver version 2.61 or
later. MDAC can be downloaded from the Microsoft
Web site(http://www.microsoft.com/) or you can install
version 2.7 Refresh from the \Support\MDAC\ directory on the
Microsoft Provisioning System CD-ROM.
Internet Information Services (IIS) version 5.0, if you plan to
use Delegated Administration Console or provision IIS. If you plan
to provision FTP sites, the FTP service should be installed on the
IIS server.
Microsoft Exchange 2000 Enterprise Server and Service Pack 2,
if you plan to provision Exchange 2000 Server. The SMTP service and
NNTP service must be installed on the server running Exchange 2000
Server.
Active Directory, if you plan to provision Active
Directory.
Microsoft FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions and SharePoint Team
Services from Microsoft if you plan to provision FrontPage 2002 and
SharePoint Team Services.
