To delete MPF registry entries in preparation for recovery

1. Click Start, click Run, and then type:
   regedit
2. In the console tree, double-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, double-click SOFTWARE, double-click Microsoft, double-click Provisioning, and then click the Client folder.
3. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
4. In the console tree, click the Engine folder.
5. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
6. On the Registry menu, click Exit. If prompted to save changes, click Yes.

Caution

• Incorrectly editing the registry can severely damage your system. Before making changes to the registry, you should back up any valued data on the computer.
