On the Delegated Administration Console menu bar, click
Manage Organization.
In the Tasks pane, click New Reseller.
The Create a New Reseller page appears.
In Reseller Name, type the reseller's domain name.
Caution
You cannot change the domain name once you have created it, so
be certain this is the correct domain name. If this reseller will
use Exchange services, this must be a valid Internet domain name.
If the reseller will not use Exchange services, the domain name can
be any name that is not already used by a domain on your
network.
This name will also be used for the Web site host header name
if you choose a plan for this reseller that includes shared
Internet Protocol (IP) Web services. The host header name cannot be
changed once it is configured.
In Domain, click the extension of the reseller's domain
name, and then click Next.
In the Plan Name list, select the service plan that you
want to enable for this reseller, and then click Next.
Note
If you have not configured any plans, a note to this effect
appears on this page. In this case, simply click Next. You
can enable services for this reseller later, as described in
"Manage services for an organization" in Delegated Administration
Console Help.
The New User Info page appears, on which you create the
first user account for this reseller organization. You should
create the user account that you want to designate as the reseller administrator. Later, you can create
additional user accounts, as described in "Step 2. Add reseller
user accounts (optional)."
Enter information about the user account in the appropriate
boxes on the New User Info page, as described in the
following table:

To assign the reseller administrator role to this user account,
select the Administrator check box, and then click
Next.
Update Complete appears in the upper-left section of the
User Properties page.
This user account appears in the list of user accounts on the
Users page of the Manage Organization section for
this organization.
To assign to this user account the end user role
for this organization, do not select a check box.
When finished, click Next.
Update Complete appears in the upper-left section of the
User Properties page. The user accounts you configure appear
in the list of user accounts on the Users page of the
Manage Organization section for this organization.
Repeat this procedure for each user account you want to add to
the reseller organization.
In the navigation bar directly above the Organization
Name list, click the reseller's domain name; for example:
fabrikam.com.
The Child Organizations page for the reseller
organization appears.
In the left navigation pane, click Properties.
In the appropriate boxes, type information about the reseller
organization, and then click Update.
Update Complete appears in the upper-left section of the
Properties page.
Notes
To use the features described in the preceding steps, you must
have one of the roles displayed under Who can perform this
task at the top of this page.
For more information about roles, see "Understanding roles and
privileges" in Related Topics. If you are not sure what your role
is, ask your Delegated Administration Console administrator.
Step 2 is optional because service provider administrators do
not need to create all of the user accounts for a reseller
organization. They need only create the first user account and
assign it the reseller administrator role, as described in Step 1.
The reseller administrator can then log on to Delegated
Administration Console and create user accounts for his or her
organization, and can assign them any role except for reseller
administrator. Only the service provider administrator can assign
the reseller administrator role.
When you create or modify an organization, user account, or
group, it can take up to 30 minutes for Active Directory to
replicate the information across the domain. As a result, users
might not be able to immediately log on using recently created or
modified user accounts or access features for which they have been
recently given permissions.
