What is Provisioning?
Provisioning is the automation of operations that deploy and support online services hosted in a data center. Provisioning operations typically involve adding, deleting, and modifying:
- Subscriber and user services (for example, disk storage guaranteed by a service-level agreement)
- Applications
- Computers
- Devices and networks
Automated provisioning standardizes and consolidates common administrative tasks, helping to reduce setup time, administrative costs, and errors.
