Install the Microsoft Provisioning System
Software Development Kit
Before you use the MPS SDK installer, make sure the following
software components are already installed on the local
computer:
- The MPS Client
- Visual Studio 2003 or Visual Studio 2005 or both
Notes
- If Visual Studio 2003 is present,the MPS SDK components
designed for use with Visual Studio 2003 and the .NET 1.1 framework
will be installed.
- If Visual Studio 2005 is present, the MPS SDK components
designed for use with Visual Studio 2005 and the .NET 2.0 framework
will be installed.
- If both Visual Studio 2003 and Visual Studio 2005 are present,
both MPS SDK component sets will be installed.
Important
Visual Studio 2005 must have been started at least once before
you run the MPS SDK installer. If it has not been initialized, then
the MPS SDK components designed for use with Visual Studio 2005 and
the .NET 2.0 framework will not be installed.
Procedure MPSSDK.3: To install
the MPS SDK
- Locate the file Microsoft Provisioning System SDK.msi file and
double-click to open it.
- On Welcome to the Installer Wizard for MPFSDK Package
page, click Next.
- On the License Agreement page, click I accept the
terms in the license agreement, then click Next.
- On the Customer Information page:
- Enter your User Name
- Enter your Organization
- Make a selection for Install this application for:
Then, click Next.
- On the Setup Type page, verify that Complete is
selected, then click Next.
Note
When you leave the Setup Type set to Complete, the installer
checks your system to see which version or versions of Visual
Studio are installed on the local computer. If you select Custom,
you will be prompted to choose which MPS SDK components to
install.
- On the Ready to Install the Program page, click
Install.
- On the Installer Wizard Completed page, click
Finish.
