The ModifyResources procedure returns current settings for capacity and provisionable after update.

The following remarks apply to the ModifyResources procedure:

• If any of the submitted server pools do not exist or are invalid, Live Communications Server 2005 home server pools throw an exception and the entire procedure is rolled back.
• If any of the submitted server pools do not have at least one of the modifier elements (<capacity> or <provisionable>), an exception is thrown and the entire procedure is rolled back.
• If the requested capacity will result in a number lower than the current allocation of a server pool, an exception is thrown and the procedure is rolled back.

The following provisioning steps occur to modify resources with the ModifyResources procedure:

1. Call Managed Hosting::TestDomainAdmin
2. Call Live Communications Resource Manager::GetLCSPoolsDn_ - gets the well known pools container.
3. Call Live Communications Resource Manager::ModifyServerPool_ - modifies a single server pool in the resource manager. This procedure is called in a loop for each server pool submitted in the request.

The ModifyResources procedure has the following security requirements:

• The caller is impersonated.
• The caller is tested for membership in the Domain Admin group.
