Hosted Signup Namespace

This section provides the details of the application programming interface (API) for the Hosted Signup namespace included with the Microsoft® Provisioning System (MPS) in the Microsoft Hosted Messaging and Collaboration version 4.5. The Hosted Signup namespace is designed to provide an interface to the Signup service. The goal is to

Offer secured unauthenticated signup for new customers
Perform role based security checks to ensure proper authorization of Domain, Hosting, Reseller, and Customer admins.
The signup procedure for Business Customers includes the creation of the organizational unit and the creation of the business admin user along with the sending of a "welcome" mail message to an alternate email address.
The signup procedure for Consumers includes the creation of the user and the sending of a "welcome" mail message to an alternate email address.
Provide XSD Schema for all input and outputs

Implementation

The Hosted Signup namespace installs as a Microsoft Provisioning Framework (MPF) Namespace in MPS Provisioning Manager. It may require the additional execution of a procedure to set up permissions, credentials, or perform additional initialization configurations.
