Processing Rule Groups Window

Allows you to view and print processing rule group details, create, edit, and delete processing rule groups, and navigate through the processing rule group hierarchy. The fields are defined as follows:

Enabled
Specifies whether the processing rule group is enabled.
Parent Rule Group
Specifies the parent of the processing rule group, and allows you to navigate to the parent processing rule group.
Child Rule Groups
Specifies the children of the processing rule group, and allows you to navigate to the children processing rule groups.
Description
Specifies the description of the processing rule group.
Bound to Computer Groups
Specifies the computer groups to which the processing rule will be distributed.
Microsoft Knowledge Base
Specifies the Knowledge Base information for the processing rule group. This field is available only if there is Knowledge Base information available.
Company Knowledge Base
Specifies the company-provided Knowledge Base information associated with the processing rule group. This field is available only if there is Company Knowledge Base information associated with the processing rule group.
Event Rules
Specifies the event processing rules in the processing rule group. Click an event rule to display its Properties window.
Alert Rules
Specifies the alert processing rules in the processing rule group. Click an alert rule to display its Properties window.
Performance Processing Rules
Specifies the performance rules in the processing rule group. Click a performance processing rule to display its Properties window.

To create a processing rule group, complete the following steps:

  1. In the left pane, select the processing rule group you want to contain the new processing rule group.
  2. Click Action on the menu bar.
  3. Click New on the Action menu.
  4. Click Processing Rule Group on the New menu.

To edit a processing rule group, complete the following steps:

  1. Select a processing rule group in the left pane.
  2. Click Action on the menu bar.
  3. Click Properties on the Action menu.

To delete a processing rule group, complete the following steps:

  1. Select a processing rule group in the left pane.
  2. Click Action on the menu bar.
  3. Click Delete on the Action menu.
  4. Select the appropriate option, and then click OK.

To print the details of a processing rule group, complete the following steps:

  1. Select a processing rule group in the left pane.
  2. Click Print in the right pane.
