Performance Processing Rules Window
Allows you to view, create, edit, and delete performance
processing rules for a processing rule group. This fields are
defined as follows:
- Name
- Specifies the name of the rule.
- Enabled
- Specifies whether the rule is currently enabled.
- Type
- Specifies the performance processing rule type, measuring or
threshold.
- Provider Type
- Specifies the type of information provider, such as Windows
event log or WMI.
- Provider Name
- Specifies the user-defined name that identifies a particular
instance of a provider, such as Security for Windows Log.
- Response
- Specifies whether a rule match generates a response, and if so,
what response.
To create a performance processing rule,
complete the following steps:
- Select Performance Processing Rules in the left
pane.
- Click Action on the menu bar.
- Click New on the Action menu.
- Click Performance Processing Rule on the New Menu.
To edit a processing rule, complete the
following steps:
- Select a processing rule in the right pane.
- Click Action on the menu bar.
- Click Properties on the Action menu.
To delete a processing rule, complete the
following steps:
- Select a processing rule in the right pane.
- Click Action on the menu bar.
- Click Delete on the Action menu.
