Computer Groups Window

Allows you to view, create, and edit computer groups. Computer groups help define on which computers Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 installs agents. The columns are defined as follows:

Name
Specifies the name of the computer group.
Enabled
Specifies whether the computer group is enabled.
Domain spec
Specifies the text-pattern matching expression for the domain and computer names included in the computer group.
Expression
Specifies a Boolean expression for which a computer must return True to be included in the computer group.

To create a computer group, complete the following steps:

  1. Select Computer Group in the left pane.
  2. Click Action on the menu bar.
  3. Click Create Computer Group on the Action menu.

To edit a computer group, complete the following steps:

  1. Select a computer group.
  2. Click Action on the menu bar.
  3. Click Properties on the Action menu.
