Global Settings Properties, Communications Tab

Allows you to specify the TCP/IP port that agents use to communicate with the Consolidator. These fields are defined as follows:

Unencrypted communication port number
Specifies the TCP/IP port that agents use for unencrypted communication with the Consolidator. Possible values for the port number are 1 through 65,535. If you change this value, you must rescan all agents, stop and restart the OnePoint service on all agents, and then stop and restart the OnePoint service on all Consolidators. Unencrypted communication can slightly reduce CPU overhead, but will use more network bandwidth, if encryption is not necessary in your enterprise network. You can change the communications type for all agents or for individual agents, but all agents must use the same port number for that type of communications.
Encrypted port number
Specifies the TCP/IP port that agents use for encrypted communication with the Consolidator. Encrypted communication is the default. You can choose the communication type for global agents or for individual agents. You can change the communications type for all agents or for individual agents, but all agents must use the same port number for that type of communications. Possible values for the port number are 1 through 65,535. If you change this value, you must rescan all agents, stop and restart the OnePoint service on all agents, and then stop and restart the OnePoint service on all Consolidators.
