Agents Properties, Communication Failure Handling Tab

Allows you to specify how often the agent tries to communicate with the Consolidator if a communication failure occurs. The fields are defined as follows:

Retry ___ times with ___ msec between retries

Specifies the number of initial attempts and the number of milliseconds between attempts. In the Agent Properties window, this field is available only when the Use Global Settings check box is clear.

then retry ___ times with ___ msec between retries

Specifies the number of tries and milliseconds between attempts if the initial attempts fail. In the Agent Properties window, this field is available only when the Use Global Settings check box is clear.

then retry until success with ___ msec between retries

Specifies the rate at which the agent attempts to contact the Consolidator if previous attempts fail. In the Agent Properties window, this field is available only when the Use Global Settings check box is clear.

Use global settings

Specifies whether this agent uses the settings for agents configured in the Global Settings window. This field is available only in individual Agent Properties windows.
