When you create, edit, or delete processing rules, Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 (MOM) automatically ensures that these changes are sent to the Consolidator, depending on the Consolidator polling interval. Agents receive the changes from the Consolidator at the next heartbeat. We recommend that you allow MOM to automatically send the changes to the Consolidator. You can, however, send the changes to the Consolidator on demand.
