You can copy a processing rule in one processing rule group and
paste it within another. You can copy a processing rule and modify
its properties to create a new processing rule. You can copy and
paste a processing rule within a single Rules snap-in or into a
Rules snap-in for another configuration group.
Note
You can paste a processing rule only within a folder containing
its type of rule: Event, Alert, or Performance Processing
Rules.
To copy a processing rule:
Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the
left pane.
Expand Rules in the left pane.
Expand Processing Rule Groups in the left pane.
Expand the processing rule group containing the processing rule
you want to copy.
In the left pane, click the Event, Alert, or Performance
Processing Rules node containing the rule you want to copy.
In the right pane, click the rule that you want to copy.
Click the Action menu.
Click Copy on the Action menu.
In the left pane, click the Event, Alert, or Performance
Processing Rules node where you want to paste the rule.
Click the Action menu.
Click Paste on the Action menu.
Note
In some instances, you might need to refresh the view to see
the rule pasted in the new location.
