Associating a Processing Rule Group with a Computer Group
To enable agents to apply processing rules to the correct
computers, you must associate a processing rule group with a
computer group. Agents on computers within the computer group apply
the rules in the processing rule group as necessary.
Note
If you have a child processing rule group, which is a
processing rule group contained within another processing rule
group, you might want to associate computer groups to the child
processing rule group.
To associate a processing rule group with a
computer group:
Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the
left pane.
Expand Rules in the left pane.
Expand Processing Rule Groups in the left pane.
In the right pane, click the processing rule group you want to
associate with a computer group.
Click Action on the menu bar.
Click Associate with Computer Group on the Action
menu.
Follow the instructions on the Computer Groups tab. For
more information about the fields on a window, click
Help.
