Graphing Performance Data

You can graph sampled performance data in performance data views. You can view a performance data graph from the All Performance view, or from a custom performance data view. This topic includes steps for both views.

To view a graph of sampled performance data from the All Performance view:

  1. Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the left pane.
  2. Expand Monitor in the left pane.
  3. Click All Performance in the left pane.
  4. In the right pane, click the computer with performance data you want to graph.
  5. Click Action on the menu bar.
  6. Click View Performance on the Action menu.
  7. Click the performance item you want to graph.
  8. Click Action on the menu bar.
  9. Click Add to Graph on the menu bar. The graph can display up to 33 items with accompanying graph legends.
  10. Click View on the menu bar.
  11. Select Graph on the View menu.
  12. To change the graph type, select a type from the Graph Type drop-down list.
  13. To print the graph, click Print.
  14. To copy the graph, click Copy to Clipboard.

To view a graph of sampled performance data from a custom performance data view:

  1. Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the left pane.
  2. Expand Monitor in the left pane.
  3. Click the custom performance data view in the left pane.
  4. To change the graph type, select a type from the Graph Type drop-down list.
  5. To print the graph, click Print.
  6. To copy the graph, click Copy to Clipboard.
