Creating an Alert Based on An Event

You can create a processing rule that will generate an alert based on an existing event. Creating a processing rule from an existing event in the Monitor snap-in requires your user account to be a member of the Operators (OnePointOp Operators) Windows NT user group. For more information, see Requirements and Permissions.

You can also create an alert based on an event in the Rules snap-in. For more information, see Creating an Event Processing Rule.

  5. Click Action on the menu bar.
  6. Click New Processing Rule on the Action menu.
