The MOM Administrator Console contains Microsoft Operations
Manager 2000 snap-ins. A snap-in manages a single
configuration group. To manage more than one configuration group
within a console, you can add more than one instance of a snap-in.
For more information, see MOM
Administrator Console Overview.
To add a snap-in:
Click Console on the menu bar.
Click Add/Remove Snap-in on the Console menu.
Click Add.
Click Operations Manager.
Click Add.
If you want the snap-in to manage the configuration group
database on the local computer, click Default configuration
group for this computer.
If your enterprise is a Windows 2000 Active Directory
environment, you can select the configuration group to be managed
by clicking Another named configuration and selecting the
configuration group from the drop-down list.
If you want the snap-in to manage the configuration group
database on a different computer, click Another computer and
specify the computer name where the database is located.
Clear the check boxes for the Monitor, Rules, or Configuration
snap-ins you do not want to install. All snap-ins are checked and
installed by default.
