Agent Managers periodically scan the Managed Computers list. You
can also scan on demand. Scanning finds computers that match the
Managed Computer rule, collects computer attributes, evaluates
computer group membership, and identifies computers requiring an
agent installation or uninstallation. By default, MOM lists these
computers in the Pending Installations window of the Configuration
Manager, where you can choose to approve or cancel pending
actions.
To scan managed computers:
Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the
left pane.
Expand Configuration in the left pane.
Click Global Settings in the left pane.
Click Agent Managers in the right pane.
Click Action on the menu bar.
Click Properties on the Action menu.
If you want to change the time and frequency that Agent
Managers automatically scan managed computers, specify the desired
values on the Managed Computer Scan tab.
If you want the Agent Manager to perform a scan now, click
Scan managed computers now on the Managed Computer Scan
tab.
Click Pending Installations in the left pane to see the
results of the scan.
