Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 can ignore the status of
the agent on a component computer. For example, if an agent
computer is disconnected from the network and you know the reason,
you might not want its status to be displayed in the Monitor.
Ignoring agent status and stopping ignoring agent status require
your user account to be a member of the Configuration
Administrators (OnePointOp ConfgAdms) group. For more information
about user accounts and groups, see Requirements and
Permissions.
To ignore the status of an agent:
Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the
left pane.
Expand Monitor in the left pane.
Expand Components in the left pane.
In the left pane, click Agents.
In the right pane, click the agent computer whose status you
want to ignore.
Click Action on the menu bar.
Click All Tasks on the menu bar.
If you want to ignore the status even if the agent reconnects,
click Ignore Agent Status Forever.
If you want to ignore the status until the agent reconnects,
click Ignore Status until Agent Reconnects. When the agent
computer reconnects to the network, the Monitor will stop ignoring
the status.
To stop ignoring agent status:
Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the
left pane.
Expand Monitor in the left pane.
Expand Components in the left pane.
In the left pane, click Agents.
In the right pane, click the agent computer whose status you
want to stop ignoring.
