Associating a Computer Group with a Processing Rule Group

To enable agents to apply processing rules to the correct computers, you must associate computer groups with processing rule groups. Agents on computers within the computer group apply the processing rules within the processing rule group as necessary.

To associate a computer group with a processing rule group:

1. Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the left pane.
2. Expand Rules in the left pane.
3. Click Computer Groups in the left pane.
4. In the right pane, click the computer group you want to associate with a processing rule group.
5. Click Action on the menu bar.
6. Click Properties on the Action menu.
7. Click the Processing Rules tab.
8. Follow the instructions on the Processing Rules tab. For more information about the fields on a window, click Help.
