Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 (MOM) provides paging through the SMTP e-mail service. You might also want to use another paging software application to avoid paging through the SMTP e-mail service.
You can use third-party paging applications to notify operators of a detected condition. You can configure MOM to use an external command line to run paging software. For information about running a third-party paging application from the command line, see the paging software documentation.
