Creating performance measurement rules allows you to monitor WMI numeric data. You can identify trends by sampling average values as often as you specify.
In a performance measurement rule, you can identify a performance counter or WMI numeric data provider, and then specify a schedule for the data to be sampled. You can view graphs of sampled performance data in the MOM Administrator Console, Web Console, and in certain reports.
Sampled performance data is stored in the database. You can define responses for sampling rules.
