UserName Property (Event)

Provides access to the name of the Windows NT or Windows 2000 account that generated the event.

Syntax

ScriptContext.Event.UserName
ScriptContext.CreateEvent.UserName

Access

Read Only	When used with an event provided to the script by the Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 product.
Read/Write	When used with a new event created with the ScriptContext.CreateEvent Method.

Return Type

String.

Example

To create a new event and set the UserName property, enter:


Dim MYevent1
Dim MYevent2
set MYevent1 = ScriptContext.CreateEvent
set MYevent2 = ScriptContext.Event
MYevent1.UserName = MYevent2.UserName

This example sets the UserName property based on the event that caused the MOM product to invoke the script. The UserName property is set to the name of the computer that generated the event.
