SourceComputer Property (Event)

Provides access to the name of the computer that generated the event.

Syntax

ScriptContext.Event.SourceComputer
ScriptContext.CreateEvent.SourceComputer

Access

Read Only	When used with an event provided to the script by the Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 product.
Read/Write	When used with a new event created with the ScriptContext.CreateEvent Method.

Return Type

String.

Example

To create a new event and set the SourceComputer property, enter:


Dim MYevent1
Dim MYevent2
set MYevent1 = ScriptContext.CreateEvent
set MYevent2 = ScriptContext.Event
MYevent1.SourceComputer = MYevent2.SourceComputer

This example sets the SourceComputer property based on the event that caused the MOM product to invoke the script. The SourceComputer property is set to the name of the computer that generated the event.
