Message Property

Provides access to the description of the event.

Syntax

ScriptContext.Event.Message
ScriptContext.CreateEvent.Message

Access

Read Only	When used with an event provided to the script by the Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 product.
Read/Write	When used with a new event created with the ScriptContext.CreateEvent Method.

Return Type

String.

Example

To create a new event and set the Message property, enter:


Dim MYevent1
Dim MYevent2
set MYevent1 = ScriptContext.CreateEvent
set MYevent2 = ScriptContext.Event
MYevent1.Message = MYevent2.Message

This example sets the Message property based on the event that caused the MOM product to invoke the script. The Message property is set to the description of the event.
