Along with the custom views that you can create, Microsoft
Operations Manager 2000 (MOM) provides the following default
views of the information in the database.
All Computers
Computer view that shows summary data from every computer in
the configuration group, as well as computers from which MOM
collected information. Each row in the details pane represents one
computer. An icon identifies the highest current unresolved alert
on each computer. You can view the properties of a computer you
select in the details pane. Double-clicking a computer in the
details pane shows all outstanding alerts for the computer.
All Agents
Computer view that shows summary data from every monitored
computer, every computer with an agent, in the configuration group.
Each row in the details pane represents one monitored computer. An
icon identifies the highest current unresolved alert on each
computer. You can view the properties of a monitored computer you
select in the details pane. Double-clicking a monitored computer in
the details pane shows all outstanding alerts for the
computer.
All Computer Groups
Computer group view that shows a list of computer groups in the
configuration group. Each row in the details pane represents one
computer group, with an icon identifying the highest current
unresolved alert in the computer group. You can view details of the
computers within the computer group. Double-clicking a computer
group in the details pane displays a computer view of all computers
in the group.
All Open Alerts
Alert view that shows a list of alerts that do not have a
resolution state of Resolved from all computers in the
configuration group. Each row in the details pane represents one
alert, with an icon indicating the alert severity. This window can
include more than one alert from any computer. You can view the
properties of an alert you select in the details pane, view the
alert knowledge base, or change the alert resolution state.
All Service Level Exceptions
Alert view that shows all Service Unavailable alerts and all
alerts that have been in their current resolution state past the
service level agreement time. This view does not include
Information or Success alerts. Each row in the details pane
represents an alert, with an icon representing the alert severity.
You can view the properties of an alert you select in the detail
pane. You can change the alert resolution state in this view.
All Performance
Performance view that lists the number of performance
measurements taken for each computer in the configuration group.
Double-clicking a computer in the details pane displays a view
listing values of all performance counters collected from the
computer, where you can graph computer performance.
All Events
Event view that shows a list of all events. Each row in the
details pane represents one event. You can view the properties of
an event you select in the detail pane.
