The Configuration Manager Control Panel is used by Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 to configure client options. Configuration Manager is an application that makes it easier for administrators to manage large networks of computers.

Run Advertised Programs and Program Download Monitor help your administrator download and run programs on your computer. These programs might be productivity applications such as word processors and spreadsheets, or they might be programs that help protect your computer such as antivirus or antispyware programs.

Configuration Manager controls the configuration of the Configuration Manager client. Most of these options should be configured only by the Configuration Manager administrator. The Configuration Manager administrator can restrict which options nonadministrators are permitted to configure.
