Step 1: Obtain the Required Software

This guide assumes that the 64-bit version of Windows 8 is installed on a computer named WDG-WIN7-01. If the computer you are using has a different name, substitute the name of that computer for WDG-WIN7-01.

Note This section assumes that you are creating a new infrastructure for MDT.

The following software is required to perform LTI deployments:

· MDT, available at the Microsoft Connect website at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=76620.

· Windows ADK

· Windows 8 distribution files

· Device drivers required for the target computer, WDG-CLI-01

· Device drivers required for the reference computer, WDG-REF-01
