Infrastructure – Hardware Library

This page is optional.  Setting up an infrastructure allows you to share your storage and network resources across all your hosts.  A generic Infrastructure adds the capabilities for you to plan for setting up an infrastructure to consolidate the servers. This feature is quite similar to Microsoft Private Cloud Fast Track, but not limited to the specific OEM infrastructure selections.

Number of Hosts

Define the number of host machines that will make up the infrastructure

Total IOPS

Define the IOPS available for the entire infrastructure

Total SAN Storage (TB)

Define the storage available for the entire infrastructure

Total Network Throughput (Gbps)

Define the available network bandwidth for the infrastructure as a whole.  Do not include bandwidth from adapters that will be used for management.

Note:  Hardware Library Models created as an Infrastructure are not available for use in the Desktop Virtualization Planning Wizard.  Do not create an Infrastructure model if you wish to use the hardware library model in the Desktop Virtualization Planning Wizard.
