Connections to Remote Sites Unavailable

Ensure that there is network connectivity between the computer performing the inventory and the remote computers on which inventory data is being collected.

Generally, inventory cannot be completed on remote computers when there is a firewall between the inventory and remote computer.

If inventory is attempted over a slow or over-utilized network connection, the inventory may fail for a significantly high number of the remote computers. Many reasons may be reported for the failed inventory, including:

·         Connection Time Out

·         Machine Not Found

·         RPC server not available

·         Access denied

·         Other Reasons
