Minimum Hard Disk Space Requirement

Configuration Manager Site Server    To install the Configuration Manager 2007 Inventory Tool for Microsoft Updates, you must have 10 MB of available hard disk space for your installation directory. The installation directory must be formatted with NTFS, must be on a local drive, and must not be encrypted.

Client Computers    To install the inventory tool on the clients, each client must have an additional 5 MB of available hard disk space for the inventory tool and 2 MB for the log files.

Microsoft XML

You must have Microsoft XML (MSXML) 3.0 or later installed on your Configuration Manager 2007 site server and on client computers. All client computers capable of running the Configuration Manager 2007 Inventory Tool for Microsoft Updates should already have a supported version of MSXML on their computers.
