Use Add or Remove Programs to uninstall the Configuration Manager 2007 Inventory Tool for Microsoft Updates from your primary site server. This will uninstall the inventory tool from the server and remove all the packages, programs, and advertisements created during the inventory tool’s setup. Uninstalling will not delete any software update packages you created with the Distribute Software Updates wizard after the inventory tool was installed.

You cannot uninstall the Windows Update Agent on Advanced Clients. To remove the new inventory tool on client computers, delete the following folder and its contents, where PackageID is the folder that corresponds to the inventory tool package (by default, called Microsoft Updates Tool):
