By using Microsoft Office Communicator Web Access (2007 release), users can access the instant messaging, presence, and conferencing features in Office Communications Server 2007 through a Web browser without installing desktop client or connecting through a VPN. Users can sign in to Communicator Web Access either from within the corporate network or over the Internet by entering a uniform resource identifier (URI) in a supported Web browser.
