Procedure W03-DWM.13: To install Operations Manager 2007 by using the Prerequisite Viewer

Log on to OMMGR01 using the OMAdmin account.

On your System Center Operations Manager 2007 installation media, run SetupOM.exe to open the System Center Operations Manager 2007 Setup wizard.

Select Check Prerequisites to start the Prerequisite Viewer. Perform prerequisite check for the Server, Console, Power Shell, and Web Console components.
Note: When the components are selected, the Prerequisite Viewer checks for the presence of Windows Server 2003 SP2, .NET Framework version 2.0, .NET Framework 3.0 components, and Windows PowerShell. It then checks to ensure that the WWW service is running and set to automatic startup mode.
Procedure W03-DWM.14: To install the server components

Log on to OMMGR01 using the OMAdmin account.

On your System Center Operations Manager 2007 installation media, run SetupOM.exe to open the System Center Operations Manager 2007 Setup wizard.

Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the installation. Ensure the following:
- On the Custom Setup page, ensure that all the Server,
Console, Power Shell, Web Console, and all dependant components are
set to be installed on the local disk drive, and that the
Database component is marked as Do not
install.
- On the SC Database Server Instance page, type
OMSQL01 as the instance of the SQL Server database.
- On the Management Server Action Account page, accept the
default Domain option, enter the credentials of the
Management Server Action account OMAction.
- On the SDK and Config Service Account page, select the
Domain option, enter the OMSDK account.
- On the Custom Setup page, ensure that all the Server,
Console, Power Shell, Web Console, and all dependant components are
set to be installed on the local disk drive, and that the
Database component is marked as Do not
install.

Complete the installation by applying Operations Manager Service Pack 1.
Note: After upgrading to SP1, you may find that the Health Service does not process configuration files, and that events 7022 and 1220 are logged every 30 minutes on domain controllers. If you experience this problem, please follow the steps in KB Article 946428 to resolve the issue. -
When the Operations Console launches and you are prompted for credentials, enter the FABRIKAM domain credentials for the OMAdmin account.
