Install Windows Server 2003 R2, Standard Edition (with Service Pack 2 integrated)

Install Support Tools from the Support Tools directory on the Windows Server 2003 CD.

Install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 with SP1.

Install the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 (Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Redistributable Package).

Install IIS and ASP.NET on OMMGR01 by using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Register ASP.NET 2.0 as default on OMMGR01 by running the following command:

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe -r

Note:
This will change the script mapping for all sites on the server to use ASP.NET 2.0 as the default.If you are installing on a 64-bit operating system you may need to perform additional steps to enable ASP.NET 2.0. See KB Article 894435: How to switch between the 32-bit versions of ASP.NET 1.1 and the 64-bit version of ASP.NET 2.0 on a 64-bit version of Windows

Install Windows PowerShell on OMMGR01. To install Windows PowerShell, follow the instructions at How to Download Windows PowerShell 1.0.

Apply any released updates to Windows Server 2003 by using Windows Update.

Join OMMGR01 to the Fabrikam domain.
