When you provision Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services version 3.0 for an organization, you select a service plan in the Plans database and create the SharePoint site.

The steps involved in provisioning Hosted Windows SharePoint Services are as follows:

1. Update the Plans Database with the selected Windows SharePoint Services hosting plan.
   
2. Create the customer SharePoint site.
   
3. Update the Windows SharePoint Services database.
