To queue installation of MPS components, other than those components for which you specifically configure target servers, you must use the contextual menus that you access from within the Requirements Status pane. To queue an individual component for the next deployment, right-click it and select the Install command on the contextual menu that appears.

MPF provisioning components that you can queue for deployment using the Install command consist of the following:

  • Core namespaces - Located under the Core MPF Install node in the Requirements Status pane.
  • Managed namespaces - Located under the Service Components node in the Requirements Status pane).
  • Providers - Located under the Service Components node in the Requirements Status pane.
Note:
These provisioning components are automatically installed on the server where you configure the MPF Provisioning Engine installation. Other MPS components that you install on specific target servers are listed in Target Servers and Assign Roles.

When you successfully queue an MPS component for installation in the next deployment using the Install command, a disc icon appears to the left of the component in the Requirements Status pane. To unschedule a component installation, right-click and select the Cancel Install command on the contextual menu. After you deploy a scheduled installation, you can only remove the configuration change for a particular item in the next deployment by using the Uninstall command on the contextual menu for that MPS component.

Note:
The Uninstall command is not available for the core MPF components, because these components should never be removed once you install them.
